Originating in the South Pacific Islands, kava has been used for ceremonies, celebrations as well as its medicinal properties for 3000 years. The root of the kava plant is ground, brewed and consumed as a cold tea. It has a relaxing, euphoric and socially stimulating effect. In some cultures, kava is consumed the same way alcohol is in the U.S. Below are the kavas we carry, denoted by their points of origin and reported effects.
*Botanicals - Southeast Asia - Our first three botanicals below, denoted by strain. White botanicals provide energy and focus. Green is relaxing and euphoric. Red is euphoric and sedative, great for sleep. They all provide pain relief.
*Kanna - South Africa - Provides a relaxing and euphoric feeling. It is a natural SSRI, which boosts dopamine and serotonin levels (Do not consume if you take SSRIS).
*Blue lotus - Egypt - is also a euphoriant, and is a great catalyst for lucid dreaming. It is also said to be a powerful aphrodisiac.
